Miguelito Elementary School was built in 1969 and was called an ABC school. The district worked with John Goodladd and a group from UCLA to develop the school. It was an innovative school built with open pods with sliding walls and students used tables instead of desks. The campus was closed in 1976 and then used as a satellite school for Allan Hancock College. The school district re-opened the Miguelito campus as an elementary school in the school year of 1986-1987. |
