Important Information for Kindergarten Families

Friday, November 30, 2007

• No Before/After School or Extended Day: There will be no before and after school programs OR extended day for kindergarteners until further notice. This includes the programs of Lupe & Mrs. Gallina. Please have your child at school by 8:10 and picked up after dismal at 11:30 or after lunch at 12:00.

• No Book Check or Homework: There will be no book check out or homework for the week of 12/3-12/7.

• Reading Logs: If you didn’t turn in the November reading log, which was due on 11/30, please do so immediately. Attached you will find a reading log to be used during winter vacation.

• Polar Express: Please remember to have your child dress in their pajamas for Polar Express Day on Tuesday, December 4th. They may also bring a stuffed animal of their choice.

• Dress Up Party: Also remember that Thursday, December 6th is the day for kindergarten dress up parties. All kindergarteners are asked to wear their “Sunday Best” and arrive at school ready to use their finest manners.

• Open House: The Kindergarten Open House at the new Hapgood site is tentatively scheduled for Monday, January 7th. More information to follow.

• Schedule & Room Numbers: Please check your student’s backpack in the upcoming week for important information about the finalized bell schedule, bus times, and classroom numbers you will need for the first day at the Hapgood site. As soon as this information is available from the district office, we will send a notice home.
